Taipei, May 8, 2014: Entriesfor the COMPUTEX d&i awards have hit a new peak to reflect thesoaring interest from the design and innovation based ICT industry. The awardshave annually expanded to become a key component of COMPUTEX TAIPEI andinclude star manufacturers like Qualcomm, Philips, SanDisk, HTC, Acer, ASUS andmany other top brands.

The award winners to be announced June 2nd at a special opening press conference for COMPUTEXTAIPEI which kicks off the following day.

This 7thyear COMPUTEX TAIPEI d&i awards had 125 companies (up 21.8% on last year)sign up with 288 products applications (up 13.4% on last year). This is the thirdstraight year the event has achieved double digit growth.

Fairness in the reviews is assured since actualjudging is out sourced to a third party, International Forum Design, who hasindependently arranged six international judges to  the winners. Thepanel is comprised of Mr. Olivier Molody from France, Ms. Sylvia Feichtingerfrom Austria, Mr. Jan Fellstrom and Mr. Simon Loasby from UK, and Mr. ManfredWang and Terry Ko from Taiwan. Every judge shows decades of experience in theindustrial design industry.

This massive endeavor is out to inspire fresh miraclesand milestones in global ICT. And judging from the entries there’s a strongtrend toward highly efficient mobiles and tablets, products with wirelessfunctions, personal cloud devices and wearable technologies.

Winners of the awards are to be announced at aJune 2nd press conference, with the GoldenAward Winners being awarded the following day at the COMPUTEX TAIPEI2014 Opening Ceremony.

All d&i award winning products will be displayedat NANGANG Exhibition Hall during COMPUTEX TAIPEI and later travel the world toshowcase at major shows such as CES, MWC, CeBIT, IFA and GITEX.
